Processing happens locally in your browser. Your files and inputs are not uploaded to our servers.
How to use Image to AVIF Converter
- Choose an image and let the tool check AVIF encoding support.
- Select a quality level and start conversion.
- Preview and download the AVIF, or use WebP when encoding is unavailable.

Frequently asked questions
Is my input uploaded?
No. This tool processes its input locally in your browser. Normal page requests do not include the contents you enter or select.
Why does my browser say AVIF encoding is unavailable?
Some browsers can display AVIF but cannot create it through Canvas. The tool will not upload the image or mislabel another format as AVIF.
Will it work in every browser?
The tool uses modern browser APIs. Current Chromium, Firefox, and Safari releases provide the best support; the page displays a clear error when a required capability is unavailable.
